What is the point of a Kitemark?

The Kitemark is the UK's most recognised product certification mark. It is visible proof that a product conforms to a published specification.

The British Standard's Institute Kite Mark is a globally recognised symbol of quality, indicating the product it relates to has undergone some of the most rigourous testing processes in the world.

When a product displays the Kitemark, the purchaser can be more confident that the product will be safe and fit for its intended purpose. Research shows that the more discerning purchasers will specifically look for the Kitemark when choosing between products. In fact 60% of UK customers are willing to pay a price premium for the peace of mind it gives.

The four British Standard Kitemarks which appear on Bon Accord Glass windows proves that the windows offer the ultimate in manufacture, quality, resistance and security. Peace of mind - guaranteed.

If the products do not bear these Kitemarks or the company cannot prove it - don't consider it!

When looking to the future - we can help secure your present.

  • Every three minutes in Scotland last year someone's home was broken into. That someone may have been your friend, neighbour or relative. A shocking statistic.
  • When it comes to securing your home, there should be no compromise.
  • Bon Accord Glass is the only company in the North of Scotland with four British Standard Kitemarks, including the Kite Mark for Enhanced Security systems.
(Note - it is the product which bears the Kite Mark, not the company.)
  • Bon Accord Glass doors have been tested to withstand twice criteria required to pass the British Standard accredited PAS 23 and PAS 24.
