Our windows come with four British Standard Kite Marks; one for the profile, one for enhanced security, one for the windows and one for the sealed units.

Certified to BS7950/7412 - Enhanced Security

Only Bon Accord Glass windows come with four British Standard Kite Marks.

The British Standard Kite mark is an internationally recognised symbol of quality. There is a rigorous testing procedure to endure prior to the award of a Kite Mark.

Bon Accord Glass Window have not less than four British Standard Kite Marks including the Kite Mark for Enhanced Security systems.

Bon Accord Glass locking mechanisms not only fulfil, but exceed the British Standard requirement.

Bon Accord Glass is also a member of the Glass and Glazing Federation, the industry watchdog for quality and standards.

Planning Permission & Building Warrant

The design team at Bon Accord Glass are also in a position to assist you with any planning permission or building warrant applications that may be required.

Planning permission is required at all times by your local authority if:

You are replacing windows in a flatted property.
The building is listed or in a conservation area
NB - please check with a member of our design team, or with your local council if unsure.

A Building Warrant is required when a new opening is being created or there is any alteration to an existing opening to install a new window or door.

Superior Consent is often required whenever you alter a council house, new house or one in development.

An Engineer's Certificate may be required when extensive building work has to take place.

The Bon Accord Glass architectural and design team will advise you of which permissions will be required and can undertake the handling of any documentation and produce any required drawings in the application process.
